The Troop was informed that the Rose Bowl District Patch, the patch worn on the left side of the uniform on the left pocket is no longer available at the Smiser Scout Shop. It can still be purchased from the Eastside Scout Shop located in West Covina. The address is below: EASTSIDE SCOUT SHOP 305 Rowland Ave. Covina, CA 91723 Fax / Phone: 626 331-4612 The reason for this inconvience is that Smiser is a National Scout Shop and the National office does not recognize the Rose Bowl District Patch, so it cannot be sold there. The reason that the patch can be sold at the Eastside Scout Shop, is that it is a local shop and can sell of the items not specifically approved by the BSA National Council.
