Boy Scouts of America - Troop 358
Summer Camp
Camp Cherry Valley on Catalina Island
August 1, 2010 through August 7, 2010

Camp Cherry Valley, located on Santa Catalina Island, offers opportunities for world-class snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, fishing, and numerous water sports such as canoeing, rowing, sailing, and swimming. A Scout can work on rank advancement, earn a variety of merit badges … including, archery and rifle shooting … or just relax in the great outdoors.  Camp Cherry Valley is located on the leeward side of the Island, which means the cove is calm and protected from heavy surf … a perfect place for lots of fun in the water or on the hiking trails! Hike-and-swims, war canoe races, touring an old silver mine, a sea lab with a touch tank for that up-close and personal experience with marine life, camping in comfortable tents under a unique variety of cherry trees, outstanding food … it is all waiting for the Scout to discover.

We have reservations for a limited number of Scouts and adults. Your reservation will be secured when we receive your completed reservation form.  It costs $500.00 per Scout and per Adult. This includes a round trip chartered boat from San Pedro to Catalina Island and all meals.   If a Scout is 14 years or older and interested in enrolling in scuba program, there is an additional fee.

In order to ensure our reservation, we need your reservation and a $250 deposit by December 1, 2009, with the balance of $250 due on March 15, 2010.

For those attending Summer Camp, we will distribute the appropriate Medical Forms and Release of Liability Forms to be completed by each participant and signed by their legal guardians.

This is one of the Troop’s premiere activities; do not delay getting your reservation in place.
